* knížku jsem si koupil a neodtrhl se od ní (dočetl jsem ji během několika hodin);
* viděl všechny filmy, všechny seriály a četl snad všechny komiksy z opičího univerza, ale původní román od Boulleho jsem nikdy nečetl - až do nedávna;
* autor popisuje strukturu opičí společnosti a ukazuje nám naši vlastní morálku (testy a pokusy na lidech, etiku a mnoho dalšího)
