Fenomenální román Chucka Palahniuka. Jen málokdo dokáže předčit jeho syrový upřímný styl, kterým se velmi trefně trefuje do moderní konzumní společnosti. Postava Tylera Durdena je sice velmi avantgardní, ale mluví čistou pravdu, nad kterou se člověk chtěl nechte musí zastavit. Geniální kniha, mám ji ještě radši než filmovou adaptaci, byt Brad Pitt coby Durden je rozhodně geniálně ztvarnen. Kdo jsme? Kam smerujeme? Za co stojíme? Kniha klade hooodne otázek.

Recenze od Somebody

I must admit, that I first got to know this story through David Fincher’s movie. There are just those things in the world, that get to hit you right in the exact spot! If the idea is in your head, you can never escape it. You look around yourself, and realize how much our society really does rely on material needs. How we go to our jobs, we often don’t even enjoy a slightest, everyday just to come home and be able to look though an internet magazine and tell ourselves, that we have earned enough to buy a new sofa. There are less and less things, that actually defy us as a human being. We allow other people to take control of our lives, just for the reason that we don’t want to carry the responsibility on our own shoulders. We became scared to dive in complete chaos and finally reach the bottom line.

Palahniuk je blázen, to tedy jo. Ale výborný blázen!!!
Tahle kniha je dokonalá kritika našich pohodlných konzumních zivotu, ve kterých sice máme hodně, ale ve skutečnosti vlastně nemáte nic, protože už nemůžete ani nic vnímat, přijímat, dávat. Zajímavý roman s hodně překvapivou pointou, kniha je výtečná a doporučuji přečíst dvakrát, protože budete mít po dočtení v sobě asi ještě hodně nezodpovězeneho
