If you want a story that has both action and romance, I highly recommend this series. Or other danmei too. The rules and world of Guardian was a little hard to grasp after reading historical-based danmei before, but when I got into it, I really /got into it/. Zhao Yunlan seems like an easy character, who's so simple at first that it when you finally get used to it, his real complexity hits you right in the face.
Overall great series, I haven't reached the end yet, but I can already say I'm in love with it.
