The god Apollo, cast down to earth and trapped in the form of a gawky teenage boy as punishment, must set off on the second of his harrowing (and hilarious) trials.
He and his companions seek the ancient oracles - restoring them is the only way for Apollo to reclaim his place on Mount Olympus - but this is easier said than done.
Somewhere in the American Midwest is a haunted cave that may hold answers for Apollo in his quest to become a god again . . . if it doesn't kill him or drive him insane first. Celkově mi přijde, že tato série už je taková dost doplňková, hlavně na vyždímání peněz, i když nápad není špatný a první díl jsem si tehdy před dvěma lety velmi užila.
Co se týká postav, tak mě vesměs nikdo moc nezaujal, trochu jsem měla problém si Josephine a Emmie představovat staré, Meg je... prostě Meg, no.. Svým způsobem se mi líbilo nebo bavilo Apollónovo ego a naopak jeho psychický vývoj, proměna mi přišla až kýčovitá, přehnaná a nereálná. To s tím sebeobětováním.. až bych řekla, že to bylo téměř přes čáru. Kupodivu jsem si vcelku oblíbila bezhlavého ducha Agametha. A zjistila jsem, že už jsem asi vyrostla z toho "fangirlingu" a "přehypeovávání" postav stylu "Ó, Leo je úžasný!!"
Knihu jsem nakonec četla prakticky jen proto, že ji mám v aj koupenou doma a docela lituju, že jsem si pořídila i 3. díl, na který se pak někdy teda vrhnu.
