Zdálo se, že poslední Jordanova kniha nám říká, že spisovatel vůbec nezemře a je připraven natáhnout ságu alespoň na dalších 10 částí. Opět jsem musel přeskočit celé vrstvy textu s nekonečnými popisy stejných měst a vedlejších postav. Možná to v prvních knihách v rámci znalostí nového světa stále vypadalo zajímavě, ale v době, kdy bylo 11, to začalo upřímně otravovat. Postav je ještě více a Jordan o nich mluví, jako by si čtenář měl pamatovat všechny tamní seanchanské generály a služky, jako by chodili s hlavními postavami z prvních kapitol.
