This is a fascinating and insightful account of Khrushchev's life and époque. It is a must-read for those who want to understand, why certain things are as they are even today in the minds of those who experienced Soviet rule as well as the generation that was born after the USSR collapsed. This book also tells about the atrocities of the Soviet rule, and they are the ones to be remembered, rather than the alternative reality that is being fed to the public as part of the new modern propaganda. For those, who are non-native English speakers, the book might be a challenge, but can be used to increase vocabulary significantly even for Advanced speakers.
