I imagine a larger story with more characters and more worlds under the title Space opera. So exactly what we get from the duo Hlávka - Vybíralová and their cycle Algor or Vilma Kadlečková's Mycelia. On the other hand, there are readers who like stand-alone novels, not sagas published over several years. In this case, people might reach for a book by Ales Pitzmos. Unfortunately, they no longer get what I mentioned in the first sentence. They get a pure sci-fi actioner, which occasionally fizzles with technical terms, where it's obvious that the author is not a complete slouch in the industry. The main character of the father who lost his wife and has to take care of his young daughter was certainly a good choice, he has your sympathy, until he becomes an almost immortal hero in the style of Mr. Kulhanek, Mr. Zhamboch, Mr. Kotleta. This was an unfortunate decision. The second half of the novel is purely about action, shooting and supernatural abilities. Which is not what I'm looking for in space operas, and that's why the rating is mediocre.
